PARIS, Oct 2 (Reuters) - European stocks were set to dip on Thursday, extending the previous session's sharp retreat and tracking losses on Wall Street, while investors await details on the European Central Bank's new asset-buying plan. Financial spreadbetters expected Britain's FTSE 100 to open 6 to 8 points lower, or down 0.1 percent, Germany's DAX to open 17 to 22 points lower, or down 0.2 percent, and France's CAC 40 to open 3 to 5 points lower, or down 0.1 percent.
