Jacobs Receives Contract from NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that it has been selected to provide commissioning design and engineering services on Naval Facilities Engineering Command Mid-Atlantic (NAVFAC MIDLANT) projects.

The Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract has a maximum ceiling of $30 million over three years.

Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is providing commissioning, re-commissioning, retro-commissioning, total/whole building commissioning; plus fundamental and enhanced commissioning in anticipation of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) credits from the U.S. Green Building Council. Task Orders may be issued for projects throughout the NAVFAC Atlantic area of responsibility within the continental United States.

The initial task order that was awarded to Jacobs under this contract is for developing LEED fundamental and enhanced commissioning requirements to be included in the RFP for NAVFAC MIDLANT’s in-house design-build project for the regimental headquarters and bachelor enlisted quarters at the Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown, Va.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Tom McDuffie stated, "We are delighted to receive this contract award, and are committed to continuing our support of NAVFAC’s energy management and conservation initiatives at Navy and Marine Corps installations."

NAVFAC MIDLANT manages the planning, design and construction of shore facilities for the U.S. Navy from Maine to North Carolina.
