National Fuel Declares Quarterly Dividend and Reports Preliminary Voting Results from Annual Meeting of Stockholders

The Board of Directors of National Fuel Gas Company (NYSE:NFG) today approved payment of a regular quarterly dividend of 39.5 cents per share on the Company’s common stock. The dividend is payable April 15, 2016, to shareholders of record at the close of business on March 31, 2016.

At the Annual Meeting of Stockholders, held today, the Company announced preliminary results of the shareholder vote on four management proposals and one stockholder proposal. All of the management proposals were approved, including: the election of David C. Carroll, Joseph N. Jaggers, and David F. Smith as directors for terms to expire in 2019 and Craig G. Matthews as director for a term to expire in 2018, advisory approval of named executive officer compensation, amendment and reapproval of the 2009 Non-Employee Director Equity Compensation Plan, and ratification of the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as the Company’s independent registered public accounting firm. The stockholder proposal was not approved.

The Company has approximately 84.8 million shares of common stock outstanding. It has no preferred stock outstanding.
