PRLog - Aug. 5, 2015 - NEW ORLEANS -- Urgent Care Clinical Trials has partnered with In & Out Urgent Care to launch a clinical research program in the heart of New Orleans. Urgent care centers are no longer just facilities treating walk in patients. Urgent care centers are much more diverse, offering numerous services for patients in their local communities. As our first trial at In & Out Urgent Care, we are studying the Shingles virus, also known as Herpes Zoster. According to the Mayo Clinic, there are more than 3 million Americans treated for Shingles in the United States every year, most of which are over the age of 50. Shingles is the chickenpox virus reactivating and anyone who had chickenpox in the past is at risk for Shingles. It's currently unknown what reactivates the virus in people. With the help of participating patients throughout New Orleans Louisiana, In & Out Urgent Care will be helping to find more effective treatments and medications for the Shingles virus.
In & Out Urgent Care, the premier Urgent Care of New Orleans, is proud to announce their expansion into clinical research with their first clinical trial.
