Mid-South Businesses Partner to Help Louisiana Flood Victims

By: Get News

Southaven RV & Marine’s CEO, Mark Hixson, is asking for the Mid-South to come together to help show our love to our neighbors in Louisiana.

While the flood waters have started to recede, over 3,000 are still in shelters and have lost their homes. Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards recently said that people around the U.S. are just starting to pay attention to the extent of flooding that killed at least 13 people in Louisiana.

“We have friends and family down there so we immediately began making calls and found businesses very eager to volunteer.  Southern States Utility, B&P Enterprises, Signs and Stuff, and others came together to provide an eighteen wheeler, driver, and banner.  The partners placed the eighteen wheeler truck out front of our showroom at Southaven RV & Marine. We are calling on the entire Mid-South to come over and help us fill it! One item or twenty would be equally appreciated – let’s do something for our neighbors!”, said Hixson.
