Shares Corrections Corporation of America (NYSE: CXW) plunged $9.65 to close at $17.57 and The GEO Group Inc. (NYSE: GEO) plummeted $12.78 to close at $19.51 after the Justice Department said that it would reduce and ultimately end the use of privately operated prisons.
