ICF to Provide Global Program Evaluation Support to Feed the Future under $11 Million Task Order

ICF (NASDAQ:ICFI), a consulting and technology services provider to government and commercial clients around the world, was recently awarded a new task order by ME&A (Mendez England & Associates) to support Feed the Future, a whole-of-government presidential initiative led by the United States Agency for International Development’s Bureau for Food Security. The task order has a value of up to $11 million and a term of five years.

“We are pleased that ICF has joined ME&A on this challenging project, bringing its superior technical capabilities in population-based surveys and program evaluation to the team,” said Tom England, president for ME&A.

ICF works with global development agencies and their partners to help build sustainable, resilient societies through integrated solutions that strengthen country systems and capacities. As the international development community faces intensifying pressure to achieve results, ICF has the technical rigor and extensive in-country experience to ensure limited resources are being put to the best use.

ICF will work with ME&A and members of a core team to provide technical oversight and expertise to the Global Program Evaluation for Effectiveness and Learning (PEEL) project. Through population-based surveys and performance and impact evaluation services, the firm will provide Feed the Future with empirical evidence to inform the programming and investment decisions under the initiative.

Specifically, ICF will design, plan and implement population-based surveys, including survey and sample design, data collection, data analysis and presentation of findings, to help Feed the Future determine how its activities are performing and to identify what more needs to be done to help improve the agriculture productivity, food security and nutrition of the people in the surveyed countries.

“A core member of the PEEL team, ICF combines its depth of experience in the disparate fields of survey research, program evaluation, social science and gender expertise to provide Feed the Future with the precision and rigor needed to monitor the progress of and determine the future investments in this important initiative,” Ani Hyslop, vice president for ICF, “We look forward to continuing to help Feed the Future tackle the root causes of global hunger and improve the nutritional status of vulnerable populations, especially women and children.”

Feed the Future is the U.S. Government’s global hunger and food security initiative. With a focus on smallholder farmers, particularly women, Feed the Future supports partner countries in developing their agriculture sectors to spur economic growth and trade that increase incomes and reduce hunger, poverty and undernutrition.
