WASHINGTON, March 3, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Since July 2014, Washington Post Tehran Bureau Chief Jason Rezaian has been detained in an Iranian Prison. Charges against Jason have still not been revealed. No western journalist has been detained by Iran as long as Jason Rezaian. For much of this time Jason was denied medical treatment. Only yesterday did Iran agree to let him have a lawyer.  Jason has dual American-Iranian citizenship. He has worked for the Post in Iran since 2012.

On Thursday, March 12, Jason's brother Ali, along with Douglas Jehl, Foreign Editor of the Washington Post and John Hughes, President of the National Press Club are available to discuss the latest developments and initiatives to help free Jason, including an online petition for his release on Change.org. This is a way everyone can support Jason's release.
