Epson Showcasing New Printing Technology and Hosting Renowned Photographers at PhotoPlus Expo

LONG BEACH, Calif., Oct. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Epson today announced it will be exhibiting at PhotoPlus Expo, held at the Javits Convention Center in New York City from Oct. 22-24. At its booth (#707), Epson will be showcasing its complete SureColor® P-Series photo printer line, including the SC-P400, SC-P600, SC-P800, SC-P6000, SC-P7000, SC-P8000, and SC-P9000. Epson will also be hosting a series of print signings with legendary photographers during the course of the show, as well as supporting several education-focused seminars for attendees.

With an emphasis on perception, not manipulation, Maisel will discuss how he uses digital technology to enhance the way he works and will show new work on several themes.
  • Learn Posing from a Pro: On Friday, Oct. 23, from 10:15 a.m.12:15 p.m., internationally acclaimed wedding and portrait photographer Bambi Cantrell will demonstrate quick, easy ways to achieve the perfect pose without a lot of fuss.
  • The Latest Technologies for Large- and Very-Large Format Printing; Production of Brilliant Backlits and Prints Made with UV-Curable, ChromaLuxe, and Epson SureColor P-Series Printers with Epson UltraChrome® HD and HDX Ink: On Friday, Oct. 23, from 10:15 a.m.12:15 p.m., Henry Wilhelm, director of research at Wilhelm Imaging Research, Inc., will moderate a seminar featuring a panel of six of the world's most accomplished printmakers. This seminar will look at printing options, including the new SureColor P-Series large format printers with Epson UltraChrome HD and HDX pigment inks, and explore the pros and cons of each. In addition, small and large format prints will be available for close examination by attendees.
  • From Oz to Kansas – Somewhere Over the Chromatic Grayscale: The Black and White on Black and White Conversions: On Friday, Oct. 23, from 2 – 4 p.m., Vincent Versace will share insights in answering the three most asked questions for black and white photography: 1) Did you see that color image in black and white? 2) Why don't my black and white images look like your black and white images? 3) Can you teach me how to "see" color in black and white?
