CHICAGO, June 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Youth Connection Charter School Virtual High School, an innovative blended school designed to get struggling students on the path to success, commemorated the 2012 graduating class during a ceremony on June 8. Celebrating its third graduating class, YCCS Virtual High School honored more than 115 high school scholars, many of which are prior high school drop outs or struggling students.

Catherine Meijas is a YCCS Virtual High School success story. A mom of two, Meijas had attended five different high schools before attending the YCCS Virtual High School. This scholar was on track to age out of the Chicago Public School system, making her unable to achieve a high school diploma. She is now set to graduate with a 3.8 GPA from YCCS Virtual High School. Meijas states, "I have never been able to achieve these types of grades until I came here."
YCCS Virtual High School uses an innovative blended school model combining high quality online learning with classroom instruction and support.
