Panasonic Launches Panasonic Enterprises Solutions Company

NEWARK, N.J., April 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to increasing demand in the business sector for comprehensive and integrated solutions, Panasonic Corporation of North America today announced the formation of Panasonic Enterprise Solutions Company.

The new organization will focus its efforts on the development, sales and implementation of large-scale Audio/Visual and Eco Solutions in the growing enterprise market. Jim Doyle, formerly president of Panasonic Eco Solutions North America, has been named president.

"The timing is right for this step, which now enables us to further solidify our growing position in the business-to-business space," said Joseph M. Taylor, Chairman and CEO of Panasonic Corporation of North America.  "Under Jim Doyle's leadership, we are optimally positioned for growth. We've listened to the marketplace and now we're answering the call from our customers to provide them with what they want - total business solutions that are innovative and customized."

The pillars of the new organization - Audio/Visual and Eco Solutions - will be driven by the company's expertise in digging into and understanding the pressing needs of its business and municipality customers, as well as its successful track record in end-to-end management of large-scale, corporate projects.

"More than ever, our customers are relying on our ability to deliver integrated solutions, that are both creative and made-to-order," Mr. Doyle noted. "Ultimately, our goal is to engineer custom solutions, by partnering with customers to achieve results that leverage our experience, high-end products, onsite services and engineering know-how."

Energy continues to be an important and growing sector for Panasonic Enterprise Solutions, especially for the rapidly expanding commercial and industrial renewable energy markets. The new organization plans to continue to expand its capabilities in solar energy projects and offer innovative technological and financial solutions to the energy market.

Recently, Panasonic Eco Solutions and its strategic partner, Coronal Group, established a joint venture with Global Investment Renewable, which facilitates the development, financing, construction and operation of solar photovoltaic facilities. The venture is aimed at providing end-to-end solutions to make renewable energy and public power projects more accessible for municipalities.

Much of Panasonic Enterprise Solutions' immediate attention will be focused on growing opportunities in the sports and entertainment sector, particularly in the digital signage market, which is expected to be worth nearly $15 billion by 2020. Last month, Panasonic earned acclaim within sports and entertainment circles for its construction of "Big Hoss TV," the world's largest high-definition LED video board that was custom-built at Texas Motor Speedway's racetrack. The video board uses technology exceeding high-definition resolution (3,328 horizontal x 1,440 vertical), has an active display area of 20,633 square feet and is capable of operating 281 trillion different colors.

Today stadium operators and facility managers are searching for creative video solutions to grow revenues and improve the fan experience by better connecting spectators with the action on the field. Panasonic Enterprise Solutions is best positioned to provide the answers with the latest technologies, designed to make it easier to make those connections.

"Our work with Texas Motor Speedway highlights how some of our key strengths - managing large-scale enterprise projects, engineering, creating engaging fan experiences and providing onsite support – allow us to showcase our capabilities," said Mr. Doyle. "We want Panasonic to be seen as the gold standard in providing quality solutions and unparalleled service and support."
