T. Rowe Price Group, Inc. Analyst Notes
On June 3, 2014, T. Rowe Price Group, Inc. (T. Rowe) announced that Brian C. Rogers plans to step down as Portfolio Manager of the T. Rowe Price Equity Income Fund at the end of October 2015. The Company added that he has been managing the fund since 30 years. According to the Company, John D. Linehan, Co-Portfolio Manager of the Institutional Large-Cap Value Fund and Head of U.S. Equity, will succeed Mr. Rogers to become the next portfolio manager for the Equity Income Fund, effective November 1, 2015. On June 2, 2014, Voya Financial, Inc. (Voya Financial) announced that the Company has entered into an agreement with Milliman, Inc. to outsource the actuarial valuation, modeling and hedging functions for its Closed Block Variable Annuity (CBVA) segment to Milliman. The Company stated that, under the agreement, Milliman will perform the calculation of financial reporting and risk metrics, along with the analytics used to determine hedge positions while, Voya Financial will continue to oversee and manage the CBVA segment and also retain full accountability for assumptions and methodologies, as well as the setting of hedge objectives and execution of hedge positions. Michael Smith, CEO, Insurance Solutions and the Executive with management oversight of Voya Financial's CBVA segment, stated, "Our agreement with Milliman allows us to create a more streamlined framework for the CBVA segment and achieve a more variable cost structure for this run-off block." The Company informed that prior to final implementation, it will complete parallel financial closing actions with Milliman and expects the transition to be completed in 2015.
