EMC Corporation Research Reports
On August 1, 2014, EMC Corporation (EMC) announced a quarterly cash dividend of $0.115 per common share, payable on October 23, 2014, to shareholders of record on October 1, 2014. In a separate press release on July 23, 2014, EMC released its Q2 2014 financial results and raised its 2014 full-year GAAP EPS and non-GAAP EPS outlook to $1.30 and $1.91, respectively. For Q2 2014 EMC reported revenue of $5.9 billion, an increase of 4.7% YoY. GAAP net income attributable to EMC was $589 million versus $701 million in Q2 2013. Earnings per weighted average diluted share stood at $0.28 compared to $0.32 in Q2 2013. Groupon, Inc. Research Reports
On August 5, 2014, Groupon, Inc. (Groupon) released its Q2 2014 financial results. Revenue increased 23.5% YoY to $751.6 million. North America revenue increased 12.4% YoY, while revenue from EMEA and Rest of World increased 42.3% YoY and 39.6% YoY, respectively. Gross profit was $389.9 million, versus $384.7 million during Q2 2013. However, adjusted EBITDA fell 26.6% YoY to $59.1 million, reflecting SG&A expense related to the Ticket Monster and ideeli acquisitions, as well as an increase in overall marketing expense. The Company reported net loss of $22.9 million or $0.03 per diluted share versus $7.6 million or $0.01 per diluted share in Q2 2013. For Q3 2014, Groupon expects revenue to range between $720 million and $770 million, and adjusted EBITDA to be between $50 million and $70 million.
