WILTON MANORS, Fla., March 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of National Bike Month in May, the City of Wilton Manors is hosting a free bike safety event on Saturday, May 2, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hagen Park, 2020 Wilton Drive. Bike Safety Month was established in 1956 to showcase the many benefits of bicycling and encourage safe biking.
Highlights of the event will include: a bike safety obstacle course, bike registration, bike safety inspections, presentations and free give-a-ways such as bike lights and helmets while supplies last. Please note that give-a-ways are limited to Wilton Manors residents with proof of residency (a copy of a Wilton Manors driver's license or utility bill).
This event is being held in partnership with the Wilton Manors Community Affairs Advisory Board (CAAB) and the Wilton Manors Police Department with the support and sponsorship of South Florida Commuter Services, Broward MPO, Sports Authority, Dunkin Donuts, Winn-Dixie and Performance Bicycle.
