New Publication Showcases Advancements In Forensic Science

WASHINGTON, April 17, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Institute of Justice (NIJ), the scientific research agency of the U.S. Department of Justice, today released a brochure highlighting the accomplishments of the agency's investments in forensic science research and development.  The brochure offers a snapshot of progress and funding of the various forensic sciences disciplines since 2009.  

NIJ's investment of more than $127 million is giving forensic analysts and scientists increasingly sophisticated technologies and increasingly reliable and efficient techniques. Investments that advance science and the administration of justice are the foundation that will guide forensic science policy and practice into the future.
