NEW YORK, Jan. 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- McCann Worldgroup's success at the annual Midas Awards, saluting the World's Best Financial Advertising and Marketing Communications, was quantified in today's release of the 2016 Midas Report ranking Networks, Agencies and Brands.   McCann Worldgroup was ranked as the Number One Network in the world. Mastercard, a McCann Worldgroup global client, was named the Number One Brand in the world.  McCann Worldgroup agencies, FP7/DXB based in Dubai, and McCann in New York were named the Top Two Agencies in the world, with McCann London ranked in fourth place.

The ranking system is based on points earned for winning entries. McCann won a total of 98 awards, topped by the Grand Midas Award captured by FP7/DXB, the company's Middle Eastern network.

Work for the agency's Mastercard client likewise dominated the festival, with McCann XBC in New York, headquarters for the McCann Worldgroup's unit dedicated to the global Mastercard business, taking home the most awards for Mastercard, 7 Gold and 7 Silver statues.   FP7/DXB and McCann London each won a total of 7 Gold/Silver medals for Mastercard work, with FP7/DXB winning an additional 8 Golds and 9 Silvers for Middle Eastern-based clients. McCann Singapore and McCann Canada took home a total of 6 medals.
