MENLO PARK, Calif., Oct. 31, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert Half International Inc. (NYSE symbol: RHI) today announced that Dirk A. Kempthorne has been elected to the company's board of directors, effective January 1, 2019.

Kempthorne has had a long and distinguished career in public office at the federal, state and local levels. He was Governor of Idaho from January 1999 until May 2006. From May 2006 to January 2009, he was U.S. Secretary of the Interior. Kempthorne served as U.S. Senator for the state of Idaho from 1993 to 1999. 

Kempthorne has served as president of The Kempthorne Group, a consulting firm, since 2009. He also was president and CEO of the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI), a position he held from 2010 to 2018. The ACLI is a trade association with 290 legal reserve life insurer and fraternal benefit society member companies. Kempthorne serves on the independent advisory board of Robert Half's Protiviti subsidiary and will remain on the advisory board until he assumes his role on the Robert Half board of directors in January.
