RouteOne Announces Best Opportunity AFIP Certification Campaign

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- RouteOne announced today the launch of its Best Opportunity Association of Finance & Insurance Professionals (AFIP) Certification campaign, a proactive effort to provide RouteOne dealers the best opportunity to sell vehicles and finance deals. Under the special agreement with AFIP, RouteOne dealers will be able to purchase the complete AFIP Certification Program at its wholesale price of $550, a discount of $320. As a way to generate floor traffic, dealers with AFIP Certified F&I personnel can display the "AFIP Certified Financial Services Support Onsite" logo in their ads and as a door decal.

The AFIP Certification curriculum, recommended by the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) and the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association (NIADA), addresses the federal and state regulations that govern the F&I process. The course also includes an ethics component developed in concert with the Walsh Institute for Ethical Behavior.

"The theme of the campaign reflects the positive impact AFIP Certification has on every phase of the vehicle funding process -- from establishing essential customer trust to wiring the deal and getting the deal bought," said Mike Jurecki, RouteOne CEO. "RouteOne is pleased to present this training program in association with AFIP."

According to David Robertson, AFIP's executive director, "Knowledge is power when structuring deals. Operating ethically ensures that they stay bought. When a customer selects a vehicle, AFIP Certification creates the best opportunity for the customer to actually drive it home. In a litigious landscape, hard times demand that constraints and standards be in place and enforced. The AFIP Certified F&I Professional on Staff ad logos and door stickers show customers that the dealer best meets their needs."

The AFIP Certification Program includes the CARLAW(R) F&I Legal Desk Book, a course syllabus with additional text and pretest self-check quizzes, audio and video course lectures delivered by a Northwood University professor, a Reynolds & Reynolds LAW(R) installment sale and consumer lease review CD, access to the CARLAW(R) StateLaw Counselor database, and a situational ethics module. No out-of-store time or travel is required to prepare for the certification exam.

AFIP will conduct special RouteOne "live" final exam review sessions at conveniently scheduled times via its conference call system. Testing will be conducted locally at one of the professionally proctored LASERGRADE (R) sites across the U.S. LASERGRADE (R) is a testing resource for the FAA.

RouteOne, GMAC, FMCC and Chrysler Financial Services (via its VSC unit) are AFIP Industry Members that field select AFIP Certified dealer contact operatives, as does Toyota Motor Credit.

Additional information about AFIP Certification can be found at www.afip.com . Course material may be ordered online directly from AFIP. Dealers ordering from the AFIP website should select RouteOne as the organization providing the test.

The Association of Finance & Insurance Professionals, celebrating its twentieth anniversary in '09, is a non-aligned sanctioning body. AFIP does not sell aftermarket products.
