ALDI Listens to Its Customers

BATAVIA, Ill., March 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to growing customer concerns, ALDI Inc. today announced that it will no longer purchase ground beef made with lean finely textured beef, although the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has approved this as safe and wholesome beef.

We also are committed to listening to our customers, and over the last week, customers have been telling us that they do not want ground beef made with lean finely textured beef (LFTB). That's why ALDI has decided that, we no longer will purchase ground beef made with this ingredient."
