Mark the Calendar for May 21st-25th at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.BANGKOK, THAILAND, April 24, 2014, The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) under the Ministry of Commerce has announced it is ready to demonstrate Thailand’s world-class foodservice capabilities as the ‘Kitchen of the World’, at the upcoming THAIFEX – World of Food ASIA 2014. The grand international food extravaganza is held annually and this year’s event is anticipated to attract a large number of exhibitors from all around Thailand and overseas, making it one of the most premier and comprehensive expositions on food products and services in Asia.
Mrs. Nantawan Sakuntanaga, Director-General of the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) under the Ministry of Commerce, stated that, “The THAIFEX – World of Food ASIA 2014 is being organized by the DITP, together with, the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) and German world-class event organizer Koelnmesse. The event will run from May 21st to 25th, 2014, on a grand 60,000 sq.m. venue at Challenger 1-3, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. The event promises to be a great opportunity for food professionals and companies, both in Thailand and abroad, to showcase their latest food product innovations, technologies and related services to the world. It will also be a great platform for food buyers, importers and exporters to meet directly and select potential partners from over 1,500 leading entrepreneurs in the food industry from 38 countries.”
THAIFEX 2014 will feature a diversified range of products and services in the world of food and display them in various different zones including Food & Beverage, Food Catering, Food Technology, Hospitality Services, as well as, Retail & Franchise. The event will be divided into two durations – Trade days (May 21st-23rd, 2014, from 10.00-18.00) and Public Days (May 24th-25th, 2014, from 10.00-20.00)
The annual THAIFEX – World of Food ASIA event is one of Thailand’s effective strategic tools to promote its high-quality food produce, food-producing expertise, advanced technologies and competitive prices to potential buyers from around the world. It also helps to further underline Thailand’s capabilities to emerge as the world’s leading food producer and exporter with trustworthiness in food quality and food safety in compliance with food standards in ASEAN and world markets.
