Brocade Communications Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: BRCD) blamed soaring expenses for a drop in fourth quarter earnings to 7 cents per share from 9 cents per share last year and warned that first quarter revenue will slow. The stock price lost 70 cents to close at $7.10.
