Oracle tops profit views, sales rise 37%

Oracle Corp. on Thursday posted a sharp gain in fiscal third-quarter profit that topped Wall Street estimates, as the company enjoyed better-than-expected software sales to new corporate customers and a boost from its burgeoning hardware business.
