(Nasdaq: CREE) reported higher fourth quarter earnings of 24 cents per diluted share compared with 23 cents per diluted share in the year ago period but revenue fell short of expectations and the LED lighting maker forecast current quarter revenue below estimates. The stock price plummeted $4.39 to close at $44.81.
