Chef Caron and Rhotus LLC have chosen Valentine’s Day as the official launch for the collaboration, to correlate with the romantic overtones of the wine niche. The first product, which will receive an official release later this week is the Chef Caron Wine Vacuum Pump, also known as a Wine Saver, or Wine Preserver. The Wine Vacuum Pump is designed to allow a user to reseal an opened bottle of wine and preserve and re-use it for up to two weeks. While similar products already exist on the market, the Chef Caron version employs a silicone stopper which expands as the air is pumped from the bottle, making it possible to store the bottle on its side without danger of leaking. The kit comes with four stoppers.
The second product in this initial release is the Chef Caron Wine Wand – a three in one wine chiller, wine pourer and wine aerator. The Wine Wand consists of a stainless steel chill rod which attaches to an acrylic pour spout that also features an in-bottle aerator. The chill rod is designed to chill the wine from inside the bottle. The drip-free pour spout provides a controlled pour while aerating the wine inside the bottle at the same time.
