Metavante Technologies Inc. (NYSE: MV) was the target of a $2.94 billion all-stock offer by Fidelity National Information Services (NYSE: FIS) to form a banking and payments processing giant. Shares of Metavante soared $2.30 to $22.26 while Fidelity National Information Services lost 89 cents to $17.31.
