Atheros Communications Inc. (Nasdaq: ATHR) announced plans to acquire Intellon Corp. (Nasdaq: ITLN) in a cash and stock deal valued at approximately $244 million. Shares of Atheros fell 55 cents to close at $27.43 while Intellon stock leaped $2.12 to close at $7.12.
