PRLog - March 30, 2015 - LOS ANGELES -- Happy’s Pizza Franchise based out of Detroit, Michigan is expanding to Los Angeles, California in 2015. Owner and former NFL player, Eric King is excited to introduce the brand and extensive food selection of over 150 menu items to his new hometown. This is the second location in California; the first Happy’s Pizza store is in San Diego. The new LA location (4371 Crenshaw, Los Angeles, CA 90008) opened on Thursday, March 26, in time for the March Madness frenzy of pizza and wing lovers.
“I am really excited to open the doors here and introduce LA to Happy’s Pizza and the huge menu selection that we offer for the low prices that can essentially feed a family dinner for under $15.00,” says owner Eric King. “When I played in the NFL I would host my own camps and attend many community events where companies and restaurants would reach out and be involved in helping the kids or teams, now that I’m on the other side of the business, it’s a great opportunity for me to give back to the community and hopefully partner with organizations year round.”
“We are very excited to continue our expansion in California and bring more jobs to the community. Each store we open we will be looking to hire 20-30 new employees,” says PR representative, Sherrie Handrinos. “California is a great new home and place for us to grow and be more involved in the community and surrounding areas of Los Angeles. We plan to continue growth here in 2015-16 opening more stores throughout the state.”
Upon retiring from the Detroit Lions in 2012, where King was initially introduced to Happy’s Pizza, King and his wife decided to move back to LA, where his wife is from, and began research on how he could expand the Happy’s Pizza brand out west. King plans to continue expansion in the area within the next 24 months.
Happy’s Pizza offers over 150 menu items ranging from pizza to salads, chicken, ribs and seafood. Happy’s is best known for having pricing that allows a family to eat dinner for under $15.00 and deliver within a 5 mile radius of the store (323-293-2933). New store hours are Monday –Thursday from 11am-12am, Friday and Saturday, 11am-1am and on Sunday from 11am-12am. Happy’s has also launched their new online ordering feature and will continue to open stores throughout the state as well as nationwide in 2015.
