Weak data weighs down markets

Weak economic data weighed the markets down to a lower close with Dow dropping 86 points to 17,841. Nasdaq tumbled 19 points to 4,919.

On the upside

InterCloud Systems (Nasdaq: ICLD) won a $1.5 million network expansion contract with New York City's largest provider of family services.

Walker & Dunlop (NYSE: WD) reported sharply higher first quarter earnings and revenue that surpassed analyst expectations.

Trovagene (Nasdaq: TROV) widened first quarter losses but revenue rose and the company expanded lung cancer clinical study programs.

On the downside

TriNet Group (NYSE: TNET) reported higher first quarter earnings and revenue but the stock price fell.

First quarter earnings dropped for Crestwood Equity Partners (NYSE: CEQP).

Enphase Energy (Nasdaq: ENPH) widened losses for the first quarter prompting a downgrade.

In the broad market, declining issues outpaced advancers by a margin of 5 to 2 on the NYSE and by more than 9 to 7 on Nasdaq. The broader S&P 500 fell 9 points to 2080. Bitcoin slipped $1 to $234.
