FTC approves revised Walgreens-Rite Aid deal

The Federal Trade Commission approved the revised deal for Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. (NYSE: WBA) to acquire 1,932 Rite Aid Corp. (NYSE: RAD) stores, three distribution centers plus inventory for approximately $4.375 billion in cash. Shares of Walgreens dropped $1.39 to close at $81.21 while Rite Aid stock slipped 33 cents to close at $2.40.
