The South-Central Kansas Multiple Listing Service rose up to the challenge and recently debuted the app Homesnap for use of Realtors and their clients when searching for homes. To use Homesnap, users can go to www.homesnap.com or download the app in iTunes and Android app stores.
Homesnap is extremely user-friendly as it allows the ability for Realtors and clients to communicate in the app about homes on the market. Also, this real estate application is linked with the South-Central Kansas MLS (Multiple Listing Service) so it’s an updated and accurate source for those looking to purchase a home. The MLS is a tool that is used by all Realtors and Real Estate Agents in the area to review current and past listing information. If a home that is for sale and the seller is using an agent, then it will be in the MLS.
Another awesome feature is the ability to take a picture of a house, address included, and find out more information about the property; such as, estimated value, square footage, most recent sale date and price, etc. Users can also search in certain locations or for homes near them when they have the app open. Searches also can add multiple filters to only show homes that will fit the user’s individual requirements.
Local Realtors and Real Estate Agents are very excited about the new technology and enjoy getting to bring some new age technology to their business.
“I couldn’t wait for something like this to come out! Most of my clients are millennials and do everything on their phone. I was constantly fighting the Zillow battle and was frustrated that the mobile version of the MLS wasn’t very user-friendly. I’m always on-the-go so I wouldn’t be able to confirm any information until I was back at my computer. Realtors can invite their clients to join the app and clients also can “favorite” their preferred Realtor so that all questions and communications go to them when asked through the app. This provides a great marketing opportunity for Wichita Metro Realtors to get their name out there and expand their audience of potential clients.
“I was worried that my clients would be annoyed with me asking them to download another app onto their phone, but they have all been very receptive. I know it’s not a solution for everyone as some people prefer to do home research on a desktop computer, but for my younger clients, it’s been a great solution,” continued Burress.
As the days until Spring become fewer, buyers and sellers will become more active in the Wichita Metro Area. With the unveiling of Homesnap, Realtors and clients alike will have ample time to learn their way around the app before the “hot” season goes into full swing.
