Intel Offers $884 Million For Wind River

Chip maker Intel Corp. (Nasdaq: INTC) offered $884 million to buy testing and development software maker Wind River Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: WIND). Shares of Wind River leaped $3.51 to $11.51 while Intel stock edged up 4 cents to $15.98.
