Office Depot Inc. (NYSE: ODP) widened second quarter losses by a larger than expected 31 cents per share from a loss of a penny per share in the year ago period as sales plunged amidst the slumping economy. Shares of the office supplies retailer tumbled 98 cents to $4.37.
