Sprint Nextel Corp. (NYSE: S) posted a wider than expected loss of 13 cents per share compared with a loss of 12 cents per share in the year ago period as revenues and its subscriber base continued to shrink. Shares of the nation's third largest wireless provider fell 53 cents to $4.06.
