BioScrip (Nasdaq: BIOS) reported a greater than expected loss for the first quarter.
MannKind (Nasdaq: MNKD) reported a loss for the first quarter.
Fluidigm (Nasdaq: FLDM) reported a loss for the first quarter as revenue fell short of expectations and the company forecast full year revenue below estimates.
In the broad market, advancing issues outpaced decliners by a margin of more than 11 to 1 on the NYSE and nearly 5 to 1 on Nasdaq. The broader S&P 500 soared 24 points to 2112. Bitcoin edged up to $238.
