North Carolina OSHA Recognizes Cintas Location in Fayetteville with Highest Safety Designation

Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS) announced that its rental location in Fayetteville, NC. has received the Carolina Star certification from the North Carolina Occupational Safety and Health Administration (NC-OSHA). The Carolina Star is NC-OSHA’s highest recognition for the practice of and commitment to exemplary occupational safety and health.

“I am very proud of our Fayetteville location partners achieving the prestigious Carolina Star award. The requirements for achieving this designation are more stringent than the Federal VPP program and our Fayetteville location is the third North Carolina Cintas facility to achieve this award,” stated Scott Wolfe, Group Vice-President of the Cintas Mid-South Group. “The whole Fayetteville team made this achievement happen with every employee-partner taking full responsibility for the safety and well-being of one another,” added Wolfe.

In order to earn this caliber of recognition in work safety practices, Cintas management and Cintas front-line employee-partners must work closely together toward the common goal of the Cintas Corporation, which insists that every employee-partner goes home to their loved ones at the end of the work day safe and healthy. Many neighboring companies in the communities which have Cintas STAR locations have sought Cintas’ mentorship to help them create programs that result in protecting the safety and health of their employees.

The Fayetteville facility first began its journey toward Carolina Star certification nearly three years ago. “The culture we have at our location is one of family and making sure that we take care of each other every day," added Rodney Tillotson, Branch Manager of Location 936 in Fayetteville. “We’ve had applicants tell us in interviews that they were seeking employment with us because they heard of our workplace safety best practices.”

Location 936 is now one of 26 Cintas facilities in the United States to receive the OSHA Star designation since 2011. Cintas Corporation ranks 12th in the entire nation for the number of these sites overall. The designation requires on-going training, rigorous audits and collaboration between management and employee-partners.
