New White Paper Reveals Factors to Consider When Developing Your Flame Resistant Clothing Program

To help business leaders, risk managers and safety professionals improve their PPE program and their cost effectiveness , Cintas Canada, Ltd. released a new white paper today “Should I Rent or Purchase Flame Resistant Clothing? Strategies for building a safer and more cost effective protective apparel program.” The white paper reviews common factors that contribute to the total cost of ownership of a flame resistant (FR) clothing program in order to help define safer and more cost-effective personal protective equipment (PPE) programs.

“Increasingly challenged with pressures to improve employee safety while keeping costs low, businesses regularly face the question of whether to use a purchase or managed FR clothing program,” said Dave Rehm, Regional Manager of Protective Apparel, Cintas Canada, Ltd. “It can be a tough choice to make, but by identifying best practices and specific needs, businesses will be better equipped to choose the right option for them and their employees.”

Readers of the new Cintas white paper will learn:

  • Common factors that increase the total cost of ownership of your FR clothing program
  • How to calculate the per wear cost of FR garments
  • Different options for laundering and maintaining FR garments

“There’s no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to FR program management,” added Rehm. “One manager may find a rental program to be ideal, others may find a purchase program works best for them, while still others may need a ‘hybrid’ solution that includes a mix of managed and purchased FR garments.”
