Canadian Solar falls short

Canadian Solar Inc. (Nasdaq: CSIQ) swung to a profit for the first quarter of 7 cents per diluted share compared with a loss of 10 cents per diluted share a year earlier but the results fell short of analyst expectations and the company forecast current quarter revenue below estimates. Shares of the solar module maker plunged $3.25 to close at $22.07.
