“When David joined Kurion two years ago, he brought more than four decades of experience in nuclear waste management, including extensive knowledge of the Hanford site operations,” said Kurion CEO Bill Gallo. “David’s experience – paired with sound leadership and excellent executive management skills – have been crucial in helping Kurion develop systems for global nuclear projects.”

Brockman joined Kurion as deputy chief operating officer in February 2013 after serving as a member of its advisory board since February 2012. He previously served as chief executive officer at S.A. Technology and chief energy advisor at MRI Global. Brockman held several positions within the Department of Energy (DOE), including manager of the Office of River Protection, where he oversaw the $12.3 billion vitrification plant that is being built to treat the waste. Prior to that, Brockman oversaw the DOE Richland Operations Office at Hanford. He also worked on several nuclear operations in the United States Navy.
