Natura Petz, a manufacturer and online seller of organic herbal pet supplements, launched a store on Amazon.com in February 2014.
Founded in December 2012 by Heidi Nevala, Natura Petz sources ingredients for it’s cutting edge cat and dog supplements from wild and certified organic growers in Peru. The pet supplements created by Natura Petz include over 75 botanical herbs and marine extracts and are formulated with no alcohol, binders, fillers, colorants, synthetics, chemical additives or preservatives. Unlike many pet supplements and foods found in the big box stores, Natura Petz’s supplements are also not irradiated or fumigated.
Ms. Nevala says, “Most pet supplements found in today’s marketplace are formulated using inferior ingredients and processes that destroy the effectiveness of the product. We believe that by using completely natural and organic ingredients to formulate our pet supplements is the best way to enhance the health of our customer’s pets. We also source novel ingredients that no other pet supplement company utilizes that are backed by literally thousands of years of holistic use and research.”
Natura Petz has many different pet supplement formulations that target 5 different categories of pet health. Their supplement formulations have unique and descriptive names such as “Life’s An Itch” which targets allergies and respiratory health and “Super Model In A Bottle” which helps with pet obesity and weight loss.
Ms. Nevala was approached by Amazon in late 2013 about opening a store on Amazon Vendor Central. Natura Petz had to ramp up production of supplements significantly in order to provide inventory for the Amazon.com Vendor Central store while also providing supplements to it’s growing network of distributors and retail customers. “We worked around the clock many times to ramp up our production of supplements but the amazing growth in the popularity of our pet supplements is gratifying,” Ms Nevala stated.
Going forward, Natura Petz plans to continue it’s growth by increasing it’s boutique pet product distributors base and expanding it’s online and Amazon store sales.
