TCF Bank today is awarding Lane Technical College Prep High School (Lane Tech) in Chicago, Ill. a $1,000 donation for its athletics program, thanks to a nomination from dedicated parents Jose and Consuelo Mendoza. The Mendozas, whose daughter is a student, entered Lane Tech in the TCF Bank High School Grid Iron Sweepstakes that ran at TCF branches from September 13 to 30.

“The Mendozas’ pride and enthusiasm for their hometown team were evident in their nomination as was their great sense of community surrounding Lane Tech High School,” said Mark Jeter, Managing Director, Branch Banking for TCF. “We’re proud to recognize the school, its passionate fan base and the coaching staff for their great work with young people.”

Lane Tech Athletic Director Brian Hofman added: “Lane Tech High School would like to thank Jose and Consuelo Mendoza for nominating us and TCF Bank for their generous donation to our athletic program.” Hofman also noted that the funds will help to purchase a new scorer table that will be used during indoor athletic contests.

Lane Tech High School will receive the $1,000 donation from TCF Bank during Senior Night and Community Night at the Lane Tech home football game today, Oct. 17. The nominee, Consuelo Mendoza, and the local TCF Bank Branch Manager, Stas Drankus, will present the check to Lane Tech High School.
