Electromed, Inc. Names Kathryn Thompson Vice President of Reimbursement

Electromed, Inc. (NYSE American: ELMD) today announced that Kathryn Thompson has joined the Company as Vice President of Reimbursement and will oversee all reimbursement, billing, and contracting functions. Kathryn brings an extensive record of innovative, patient-focused leadership to Electromed, having spent over 20 years in the healthcare industry with a proven track record in the reimbursement revenue cycle, as well as operations and finance.

Thompson previously served as Revenue Cycle Director at Fairview Health Services/University of Minnesota MHealth, having direct oversight for all patient access areas including registration, admissions, financial counseling and financial securing areas for two University of Minnesota hospitals and four community hospitals. Prior to Fairview Health Services/University of Minnesota MHealth, Kathryn managed the billing and reimbursement function for Virtual Radiologic, where she led new initiatives to develop and implement revenue cycle process improvement. She will report to Kathleen Skarvan.

Kathryn earned a bachelor’s degree in Strategic Leadership and Organizational Development from Metropolitan State University and Journalism from the University of Montana, and is currently pursuing her MBA at Concordia University in Health Care Administration.
