Falling gold prices weighed down shares of IAMGOLD (NYSE: IAG).

Economics and Money recommended Avon (NYSE: AVP) over Coty (NYSE: COTY) in the beauty products market.


In the broad market, declining issues outpaced advancers by a margin of nearly 5 to 4 on the NYSE and by nearly 9 to 8 on Nasdaq. The broader S&P 500 held steady at 2,557. Bitcoin plunged $127 to $5,577.
