Apogee Directors among Savoy’s “Most Influential Black Directors”

Two members of the Apogee Enterprises, Inc. (Nasdaq:APOG) board of directors were recognized in the fall issue of Savoy Magazine in their feature entitled, “2017 Power 300: Most Influential Black Corporate Directors.” The Apogee directors recognized in Savoy, a leading African-American culture, business and lifestyle publication, are Jerome L. Davis and Lloyd E. Johnson.

“We congratulate Jerome and Lloyd as they receive this recognition, and thank them for their leadership contributions to our board of directors,” said Joseph F. Puishys, Apogee chief executive officer, and Bernard P. Aldrich, Apogee chair of the board of directors. “Jerome, who has been on our board since 2004, currently chairs our compensation committee, while Lloyd, who joined our board this year, is a member of our audit committee. We appreciate the expertise and counsel they bring to Apogee as we transform our business to deliver a more stable performance throughout an economic cycle.”

Davis is executive vice president and chief revenue officer of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, which manages and operates Washington’s Ronald Reagan National and Dulles International airports. Since joining the authority in 2014 to establish the Office of Revenue, he has expanded the marketing, research and consumer strategy functions; led recruitment of new international airlines and routes; and presided over the upgrade of Dulles and Reagan’s airport concessions and passenger services to significantly boost overall revenue. Prior to joining the Authority, Mr. Davis was involved in major transformations and senior leadership positions at top corporations, including Waste Management, Electronic Data Systems, Maytag, Procter & Gamble and Frito Lay.

Johnson was global managing director, finance and internal audit, for Accenture Corporation from 2004 to 2015. He was responsible for leading the $33 billion global management consulting company’s corporate audit organization and providing counsel and leadership in finance and strategic planning. Prior to Accenture, Johnson led M&A, internal controls and audit for Delphi Automotive from 1999 to 2004. Earlier in his career, Johnson served as vice president, finance and audit at Emerson Electric Corporation, and he held leadership roles with Sara Lee Knit Products, a division of Sara Lee Corporation. He began his career with Coopers & Lybrand, now part of “big four” accounting firm PwC.
