UNIPOWER Expands Scimitar Rack-Mounted Inverter Line

According to John Ely, Vice President of Marketing for UNIPOWER, “These new, higher power additions are in direct response to customer demands for AC capacity. The new line will augment the company’s existing line of 1kW and 2kW rack-mounted inverters.”

Ely added that, “We’ve specified that the Static Transfer Switch be standard and not an extra-cost option. Customers will have the peace of mind of a connection to a utility or other AC power source. That AC source can be switched to the load automatically in the event the inverter operation is interrupted, ensuring the load will not be dropped.”

The 2U Scimitar 3000 series come in different models that operate from a 12, 24, 48, 110, 130 or 220 VDC source and produce a 115 or 230 VAC output. The output voltages and frequencies are programmable from the front panel, as well as SNMP communications interface which can be used for remote monitoring.

The Scimitar 5000 models are 3RU high and operate from a 24 or 48 VDC source, also producing a 115 or 230 VAC output.
