Imantt provides protection against TPI (Third Party Interference) for pipelines and its reinforced HDPE impact protection slabs are recognized by European government regulations as a genuine mechanical protection, 10 times more efficient than a simple warning tape and even a concrete plate. It is an excellent alternative that offers an efficient protection for buried networks, at a very low additional cost.Imantt started working with Overpipe since last year to introduce this new protection technology in the market. Overpipe has expanded its range of HDPE protection plates and offers small width plates (570 and 820 mm) designed to protect small diameter pipes, such as distribution networks.They resist the aggression of an 18-tonne mechanical shovel, far beyond the gear actually used in urban areas. With a thickness of 15 mm and a length of 1500 mm, they have exactly the same characteristics as a “large diameter” plate. Moreover, HDPE plates are also suitable to protect cables and electric lines.

Third party interference is a major risk for pipelines in Urban sites and Imantt introduced this new technology of protecting pipelines from it in South America, working to protect pipes from getting destroyed by TPIs.
