Steinger, Iscoe, & Greene Recovers $640,000 for Fort Lauderdale Rideshare Driver

Florida rideshare driver compensated for back and neck injuries after car accident

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Barry Chenman of Steinger, Iscoe & Greene is proud to announce a motor vehicle accident settlement of $640,000 for a recent client.

On October 14, 2017, Julio Rodriguez was rear-ended while driving for a popular rideshare application, resulting in severe back and neck injuries. Like other rideshare drivers, Rodriquez depends on his ability to drive to make a living. His accident not only caused emotional and physical damage, but it threatened his ability to earn money.

Rodriguez was awarded $640,000 in an out-of-court settlement on January 18, 2019 to compensate for his medical procedures, pain and suffering, lost wages, and more.

“I’m thrilled by the results of Mr. Rodriguez’s case,” says Chenman. “Many rideshare drivers and passengers don’t realize they have the right to recover compensation after an accident. We protect the rights of all drivers who are injured in an accident--even people who use rideshare apps. I am honored to help deserving accident victims like Mr. Rodriquez get the financial compensation they need to get back to life as usual.”
