Thomas F. Kelly Named President and CEO of nGenera Corporation

nGenera Corporation – provider of software solutions that manage and accelerate collaboration among employees and between enterprises and their customers – announced today that software and technology industry veteran Thomas F. Kelly has joined the company as President and CEO.

Kelly brings more than 25 years of executive leadership and an extensive background that spans sales, services, finance and operations. His leadership experience ranges from private venture-backed software start-ups to billion-dollar public technology companies. He succeeds founder Steve Papermaster, who will continue full-time service with the company and as Executive Chairman of nGenera’s board.

“Our broad portfolio of collaboration and customer experience software and services provide nGenera with a major software revenue growth opportunity in 2010 and beyond,” said Mr. Papermaster. “Tom’s rich operational background and strength in marketing and sales execution is exactly what we need to take us to the next levels of organizational performance.”

“The market for collaboration-based solutions has quickly evolved from early-adopter to mainstream in the past 12 months,” said Mr. Kelly. “Enterprise leaders realize that in order to be competitive in a faster, more connected and real-time global economy, they must reliably drive higher levels of collaboration among their employees and with their customers. nGenera is well-positioned to capitalize on this growth opportunity, and I’m excited to join this very capable team.”

Kelly, 56, was most recently President & CEO of Epicor Software (NASD:EPIC) – a profitable enterprise software company. He is also chairman of MontaVista Software, a provider of Linux-based development software, where he was also president and CEO. Prior to this, he was CEO of Bluestar Solutions (acquired by Affiliated Computer Services, NYSE:ACS).

Between 1998 and 2001, Kelly served as chairman and CEO of Blaze Software, a worldwide provider of rules-based e-business software, where he led the company to a successful IPO and its subsequent acquisition by Brokat Systems.

Prior to that, he served as chief financial officer or chief operating officer at several software and semiconductor companies, including Cirrus Logic, Frame Technology and Cadence Design Systems. He holds a B.S. degree in economics from Santa Clara University and serves on their board of regents.
