Germany holding first spectrum auction in decade

The biggest spectrum auction in Germany since the allocation of third-generation licenses back in 2000 is starting Monday, but despite strong demand it’s expected to fetch only a fraction of the 51 billion euros ($69 billion) operators giddily forked out a decade ago.
