Travelers eludes market slump; BarCap bullish

Travelers Cos. shares eluded most of Friday's broader stock market slump as Barclays Capital analyst Jay Gelb highlighted the insurer's excess capital and attractive valuation. The company has $6 billion of excess capital that could be used to "aggressively" buy back stock, the analyst estimated.
