This fax modem software can also be integrated with other GAO data modems, telephony, speech compression, and fax relay solutions for use in various applications.

This V.27ter fax modem software is written in highly optimized C channel and is multi-channel ready. It implements the ITU-T V.27ter recommendation and uses the Group 3 facsimile (G3 fax) modulation scheme for fax image transfer at the rate of 4800bps and 2400bps. This software can operate in a multi-tasking environment and is optimized for fixed-point arithmetic. It consists of transmitting and receiving functions which transmit and receive bits in groups of 2 or 3 at a rate of 1200 or 1600 symbols per second respectively. Additionally, optional backward channel modulation rate is up to 75 symbols per second.
